A few of the TeamInstinct athletes have had some notable results and achievements.
Mitch Larkin’s sensational 2015 season has been rewarded with the Queensland backstroker crowned the International Swimming Federation’s men’s swimmer of the year at a gala event in Budapest. The 22-year-old Brisbane star won the 100m and 200m backstroke events at the world championships in Kazan, Russia, last year. Larkin then broke the men’s 200-metre backstroke record at the 2015 Australian short course championships at Sydney Olympic Park in November when he clocked 1min45:63secs.
Maddie Groves had a solid hit out at the Victorian State titles where she won her 100m and 200m Butterfly events and is tracking well for Rio. Maddie finished the year ranked 2 in the world for Butterfly.
John Millman had a sensational run at the Australian Tennis Open where he eventually fell to Bernard Tomic; the result ensured John is now ranked 72 in the world on the ATP tour.
